Capturing Magic in the Heart of Chicago: Ben and Aubrey's Engagement Session:

Photographing Ben and Aubrey was an absolute dream. We began our session in their stunning West Loop apartment, which felt more like a shoot for Architectural Digest than an engagement session. Ben, an artist known as BUMPYWILSON, has an incredible eye for color, and capturing the gorgeous sunset light streaming over his artwork above their table was a highlight of the day.

Aubrey added a vibrant touch to the session with her thoughtful wardrobe choice. Knowing that my favorite color is red, she announced, “Oh, you’re gonna love me. I’m wearing a red dress.” And she wasn’t kidding—it was perfect.

After some incredible shots at their apartment, we hopped into an Uber and headed to Lurie Garden. The gardens, nestled across from the Art Institute of Chicago, were all Aubrey and Ben's idea. They had stumbled upon this serene spot a week prior and knew it would be the perfect location for their photos. Arriving just in time for an enchanting blue hour, we captured some truly magical photos.
